Old Tainan Army(EiZyu) Hospital

Located in the north of Taiwanese Second Infantry Regiment, from 1917 to 1987, the Tainan Army (Eizyu) Hospital (so called as the 804 Hospital after 1960) served its role well of caring for the army in Tainan. Built in 1916, it is a pavilion-type hospital. The Japanese learned such a building type from the French and put it into practice in Taiwan to keep each hospital building in good condition of ventilation and sunshine. NCKU received the site in 2000 as the last campus in Tainan City, and since all its facilities have been deserted for more than 10 years, it still takes time for NCKU to conserve it.
